India Schneider-Crease

I’m India (she/her/hers), and I am a postdoctoral fellow advised by Dr. Snyder-Mackler at ASU and Dr. Amy Lu at Stony Brook University. My research broadly focuses on the ecology and evolution of parasite-host relationships and the interplay between the social environment and health. I’m particularly interested in understanding how the social environment can affect immunological development, susceptibility to parasitism, and fitness. My current research investigates these questions in geladas (Theropithecus gelada) inhabiting the Simien Mountains National Park, Ethiopia. I obtained my PhD from Duke University in 2017, where I studied the ecology and fitness effects of the larval, intramuscular tapeworm on geladas, and my BA from Stony Brook University in 2009 in Philosophy and French Literature. You can read more about my research on my website.
