My name is Bri (she/her) and I am a Molecular and Cellular Biology PhD candidate in the School of Life Sciences here at ASU. My thesis is focused on epigenetic changes during aging, specifically exploring DNA methylation alterations in the immune system that manifest during the aging process in companion dogs. I am particularly drawn to investigating how social environmental factors can modulate molecular immunological aging. I completed my B.S in Biological Sciences through ASU online and conducted research during my undergrad in muscle aging at the National Institute on Aging as well as the epigenetics of aging at Harvard Medical School. When I am not in the lab I enjoy running marathons, hiking, and climbing.
