Hi everyone, my name is Layla Brassington (she/her/hers) and I am a 4+1 student from ASU in the SMack lab. I am broadly interested in combining specializations in molecular and cellular biology as well as evolutionary biology. In my research I am currently studying methylation and aging in companion dogs as a part of the nationwide Dog Aging Project. My undergraduate degree is Biological Sciences with a focus in cellular, genetic and developmental biology and my masters program is Molecular and Cellular Biology. Outside of the lab, I love spending time with family and friends (also my cats) and baking.
