Hi! I’m Marta (she/her/hers), and I am a research specialist in the SMack lab at Arizona State University. I am generating next-generation sequencing data to study the effects of natural disaster on the aging process in rhesus macaques. In 2021, I graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and neuroscience. Before joining the SMack lab, I spent nine months in Puerto Rico collecting behavioral and biological data on rhesus macaques living on Cayo Santiago island.
